Here at eve, we’ve know our stuff when it comes to venues and we think London offers some of the best in the world. Full of history, creativity, innovation and international influence, the city is naturally a top choice for events and venues that wow.

We’ve put our thinking caps on to decide which we think deserve those top spots. A tricky process, but one we’ve thoroughly enjoyed – here are eve’s top event venues in London.

Exhibition London

Location: West London

Nearest Station: White City

Capacity: 1400

eve loves because: This unexpected Grade II listed building brings together culture, heritage and creativity effortlessly under one roof. It’s large and versatile enough to host almost anything from live music events to conferences to (as you might guess) exhibitions. It sits squarely within London’s Westfield development which not only makes it convenient to get to, but also holds a host of branding opportunities as the development offers plenty of exposure. Plus, the venue retains much of its original features like exposed red-brick and high ceilings, bringing its Victorian charms to the forefront.

OXO2

Location: Central London

Nearest Tube Station: Waterloo, Blackfriars, Southwark

Capacity: 400

eve loves because: It provides the perfect combination of style, functionality and history. OXO2 occupies the second floor of the famous OXO Tower which sits right on the south bank of the Thames. Whilst it was originally built as a power station for the Royal Mail, today its interiors are clean and contemporary, providing a stunning blank canvas space for events. It also offers sweeping, panoramic views that make it a real favourite for fashion shows, product launches and drinks receptions.

City Central at the HAC

Location: Central London

Nearest Tube Station: Moorgate

Capacity: 2400

eve loves because: It’s set in the biggest private garden in the City of London (5 acres!). This grand marquee is hard to miss with an enormous capacity of 2400 as well as separate dinner, reception and dancefloor spaces. The AV includes everything you’d expect with projector screens, lighting and sound equipment included to ensure everyone gets a good view of the action on stage – perfect for award ceremonies, seasonal parties and conferences – and with the venue set to the stunning backdrop of the HAC’s Armoury House, what’s not to love?

IET London: Savoy Place

eve loves because: You’ll be hard pressed to find an events venue in London with better tech than this. Home to the Institute of Engineering and Technology, it’s no surprise their spaces come with some pretty intellegent AV facilities to make hosting meetings, conferences or anything else a total breeze. A choice of impressive auditoriums, meeting rooms and reception spaces means there’s something here to suit your needs, whatever they may be. The central London spot even has it’s own stunning roof terrace that offers full 180 degree views over the city for maximum impact. Yes, please.

eve loves because:  There really is no other event venue in London like it. This Greenwich gem was built over 300 years ago and is packed with naval and maritime history. The riverside location and large grounds makes it a dream setting for summer parties, concerts and even festivals. The grand collection of buildings guarantees a major impact on guests with its striking architecture and beautiful views over the water. You need to know about their Painted Hall, too: often referred to as ‘Britain’s Sistine Chapel’, this majestic space features 40,000 sq. ft of painted walls and ceiling, including Sir James Thornhill’s baroque masterpiece. It’s certainly a talking point!

Farmers and Fletchers in the City

eve loves because: This London event venue retains its quintessentially British roots and impressive heritage after undergoing a recent top-to-bottom renovation. Home to one of the newest livery companies and one of the oldest, it’s a vibrant venue packed with modern amenities, state-of-the-art AV and dynamic spaces. You can guarantee privacy for intimate meetings and conferences, or hire the venue exclusively for special occasions and corporate celebrations. Better yet, it’s just a couple of minutes walk from the Barbican tube station so it’s as convenient as it is colourful.

Dartmouth House

Location: Central London

Nearest Tube Station: Green Park

eve loves because: It’s rococo opulence adds effortless elegance to all manor of gatherings from weddings to meetings to private dinners. This Mayfair mansion holds a fair bit of history, starting as a private residence before being converted into a military hospital and later being transformed into the home of the English Speaking Union. But amongst its stunning interior spaces and intriguing history, it also offers a beautiful marble courtyard for outdoor summer parties, drinks receptions and more. There’s so much to love about this London event venue.

Museum of London Docklands

Location: East London

eve loves because:  It’s a highly unique event space that goes beyond simply being a memorable backdrop. Housed in a converted, 200-year-old warehouse, you can still see much of its original architecture throughout the museum. Exposed brick and pine columns contrast against its modern facilities and stylish contemporary features. By evening, the museum’s galleries can be transformed into an exceptional backdrop while the venues maritime roots bring an unusual and exciting edge to every special knees-up or occasion.

RSA House

You’ll be sure to bring out their creativity in a meeting or their curiosity at celebrations thanks to an interior that’s as impressive as the exterior. While the venue has been modernised over the years, many of its Georgian features have been preserved as a celebration of its heritage. We love the Great Room for any special occasion or important gathering – incredible works of art wrap the wall, which never fails to surprise or intrigue guests as well as giving them something special to remember.

58VE

eve loves because: The views! We think 58VE is a top choice when it comes to event venues in London, with its central location, high-spec tech throughout and admirable sixth-floor lounge and balcony. Their speciality is fun, flexible spaces that are easy to use and easy to tailor to particular requirements. The sixth floor meeting rooms offer views to boast about, with floor to ceiling windows that are not only writeable, but also made of smart glass so can be turned opaque at the click of a button. Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA)

Nearest tube Station: Regent’s Park, Great Portland Street, Oxford Circus

Capacity: 400

eve loves because: RIBA does different right. Each of their spaces holds its own unique charm and character, whilst coming together seamlessly as a whole for events. But it’s hardly a surprise that the Royal Institute of British Architects is housed in such an impressive setting! Art deco glamour is combined with 21st century function and design at this Grade II listed venue, bringing something a little bit different to get-togethers. It offers Halls for conferences, fashion shows and private parties, as well as meeting rooms for discussions, training days and smaller conferences. With each space so different from the last, it’s difficult to settle on just one.
